1. Never assume you know who or what I am directing my writing/posts to/at. You are probably wrong.  It probably isn’t about you.  It probably isn’t about someone you know.  Unless we have spoken directly about an issue that I then write about here, then you don’t know. So, it is safe to ask before assuming and then reacting in a way that is pretty much both hilarious but also hurtful.
   
   
2. On that note—I am easily bruised like most humans, even more so because I often expose my most vulnerable nerves here.  I am not entirely ‘tough skinned’ or ‘bad-ass’, despite what my strings of words might portray.  If you cut me, I bleed. If you strike me, I scream out in pain.
   
   The key thing is to not reach out to strike me or cut me, because I keep a switchblade in my pocket at all times and it has tasted human flesh, dripped with blood—no, really it has—and I do not hesitate to defend myself.
   
   In the end it is you or me, and I am not about to lay down and let you walk all over me because you think you are bigger, stronger, meaner, smarter.  I am big and strong in ways you will never know.
